Principles concerning accommodation and residence in student dormitories

Accommodation

Accommodation is provided solely on the basis of a decision to allocate a place in a student dormitory. It is not possible to change places during the accommodation process.

Resigning from a place in a student dormitory

A person who resigns from an allocated place is obliged to immediately inform the staff of the Student Dormitory Services Section by telephone at 41 349 73 52, 41 349 73 57,
41 349 73 63 or by email: domy.studenta@ujk.edu.pl.

Date and time of accommodation

Accommodation takes place during the working hours of the administration staff of the student dormitories, i.e. from 7.00 to 15.30.

Accommodation procedure

A person who has received a place in a student dormitory reports to the reception of the student dormitory in which they have received a place in order to perform the accommodation. At the time of accommodation, the student or doctoral student is required to submit a personally signed statement confirming, for example, that the student:

  • is familiar with the Regulations of the JKU Student Dormitories;
  • undertakes to perform the payment for the place occupied in the student dormitory in a timely manner;
  • undertakes to pay the deposit on time;

After submitting the declaration, a person who has been given a place in a JKU student dormitory receives a key to the room at the reception of the student dormitory.

Principles for using student dormitories

Administrative employees of student dormitories, reception employees inform students about the applicable sanitation rules

Residents of the student dormitories are provided with disinfectants (dispensers with disinfectant liquid placed at the entrance to the building).

In each student dormitory there is a room designated as a place of isolation.

Procedure in the event of alarming symptoms or contact with an infected person

If a resident of a student dormitory:

  • notices worrying symptoms in herself/himself (fever above 38°C, cough, shortness of breath and difficulty breathing, muscle pain),

that person should immediately contact the personal primary care physician in order to arrange a date for personal counseling or remote consultation

Principles of isolation

A resident of a student dormitory who is in isolation or subjected to isolation is independently responsible for own food (it is advised to order meals and shopping with delivery) and bears the costs thereof.

In the event of a change in the epidemic situation, the rules of the student dormitory may change during the academic year.

In each case, it is mandatory to follow the recommendations of the relevant state authorities when determining whether additional procedures should be implemented taking into consideration a given case.
