R4 - Leading researcher
Holding the title of Professor and having a significant achievements in:
- training of academic staff or
- experience in leading research teams or projects, or independently conducting projects, or
- raising research funding from external sources. Researchers conducting their own area of research.
NECESSARY COMPETENCES:
- has the competence of „recognised researcher”; (see R3)
- has an international reputation based on research excellence in its discipline;

makes a significant (ground-breaking) contribution to the represented discipline or scientific field;
publishes scientific papers that are frequently cited by other authors, is a member of committees organising prestigious scientific conferences, and is invited to give lectures.
DESIRED COMPETENCES:
- is an expert in managing and implementing research projects;
- is able to manage a team;
- has experience in obtaining research funding through competitions;
- is able to create an innovative and creative environment for research;
- acts as an example of professional development for others.
