Announcement of the Rector of Jan Kochanowski University in Kielce regarding the cancellation of the meeting of the Senate

Considering the possibility of an increase in the number of coronavirus infections in our country, out of concern for the security of the academic community, in order to prevent the spread of SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus, the meeting of the Senate of the Jan Kochanowski University in Kielce scheduled for 19 March 2020 is canceled.

 Considering that at this meeting the Senate was to, inter alia, give opinions on the candidates for rector indicated by the University Council, this decision will necessitate the change of previously set deadlines for individual election activities.

The issue of canceling the Senate meeting and the related consequences in the electoral process for the 2020-2024 term will be the subject of a meeting of the University Electoral Commission, which will urgently take appropriate decisions in this regard.

Information on the new date of the Senate meeting, including its subject, opinions of candidates for rector by the Senate will be provided as soon as possible.
