Accessibility of academic space for persons with disabilities - for faculty members of the Faculty of Arts

We sincerely invite the teaching staff of the Faculty of Arts to participate in the training „Accessibility of academic space for persons with disabilities”.
The aim of the training is to raise awareness of disability issues. The training courses will familiarise the staff at our University with the various types of disability and the resulting specific needs of students, instructions on how to provide support, respond in crisis situations, as well as the theoretical aspects and legal basis of issues in the field of disability.

The complete training cycle includes 2 days (from 8:00 to 14:45): the practical day will be carried out on site in groups of 10-12 persons maintaining the sanitary regime and safety measures in the building of the Faculty of Humanities, ul. Uniwersytecka 17, room 18, the theoretical day will be carried out via MS Teams.
The training is planned on:

• First date: 28.09.2021 practical day (on site) and 01.10.2021 theoretical day (remote);
• Second date: 29.09.2021 practical day (on site) and 01.10.2021 theoretical day (remote);

Due to the epidemiological situation, the dates are subject to change.

The training is organised as part of the University Open to the Needs of Persons with Disabilities Project, co-financed by the European Social Fund under the Operational Program Knowledge Education Development 2014-2020, Priority Axis III Higher Education for the Economy and Development, Measure 3.5 Comprehensive university programs under Contract No. POWR.03.05.00-00-A023/19 concluded with the National Centre for Research and Development.
